Psalm 20:6-8 (Common English Bible)

6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed one; God answers his anointed one from his heavenly sanctuary, answering with mighty acts of salvation achieved by his strong hand. 7 Some people trust in chariots, others in horses; but we praise the Lord’s name. 8 They will collapse and fall, but we will stand up straight and strong.

Summary:

For the month of June, we will journey through different Psalms to discover assurance. we can only find in God.

In this scripture, the Psalmist assures us that those who trust in earthly might shall fall, but those who trust in the Lord will stand strong. We might be able to see earthly power, but its foundation is weak and short term. When we trust in God, the power we cannot see, we discover the blessed assurance of divine strength and life eternal.
