The butterfly effect is the idea that small, seemingly trivial events may ultimately result in something with much larger consequences. As people of faith, we believe that no prayer, no act of service, no offering is insignificant, for it has the potential to lead to greater things in God!
In order to break free from the cocoon, butterflies must struggle to develop and strengthen their wings. Without the struggle butterflies don’t become strong enough to fly. In this scripture, it takes a struggle to cast out an unclean spirit. Because Jesus is with us, we, too, can rise like butterflies.
