Psalm 34:1-5 (Common English Bible)

1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be in my mouth. 2 I praise the Lord— let the suffering listen and rejoice. 3 Magnify the Lord with me! Together let us lift his name up high! 4 I sought the Lord and he answered me. He delivered me from all my fears. 5 Those who look to God will shine; their faces are never ashamed.

Summary:

For the month of October, we will journey through the scriptures and be reminded that in the midst of challenging and trying times, we can “sing the Lord’s song in a strange land.”  It may take time to learn some new lyrics, sing in a new key or build the confidence to sing at all, but the Psalms show us there that we are able to discover trust, love, hope and peace when we are able to sing the Lord’s Song!

When we praise the Lord, we must magnify the Lord together.  God is already great, but through worship, God’s greatness in our lives is magnified.
