Matthew 28:16-20 (New Revised Standard Version)

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Summary:

A sermon series on responding to our call to faithful discipleship.  God is mighty and powerful, but God wants our help! God wants us to help usher in God’s reign on earth as it is in heaven. God wants you! When we apply the spirit within, we help God and help one another live into “a new heaven and a new earth.”  God is looking for helpers! Won’t you join us?!?!?

In this scripture, Jesus encounters some disciples who worship and others who doubt him. In response he encourages them to remember the authority from God they have been given, to remember to share his teachings with all the world and to remember that he will always be with them. When disciples doubt, disciples remember.
