Ephesians 4:4-7 (Common English Bible)

4 You are one body and one spirit, just as God also called you in one hope. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,6 and one God and Father of all, who is over all, through all, and in all.

7 God has given his grace to each one of us measured out by the gift that is given by Christ.

Summary: Grace is the foundation of our faith. Before we come to knowledge of God, when we answer God’s call and when we allow God to make us new, we are saved by grace. God in Jesus saves us from sin for a purpose. We are all gifted by God to make a positive contribution in the world.

In order to follow Jesus’ Blueprint, we must first live into the knowledge that we can only follow Jesus by the grace of God. With God, all things are possible.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What is grace?
  2. How have you experienced God’s grace in your life?
  3. What gift has God graced you with to contribute to the world?
