Matthew 16:18 (Common English Bible)

I tell you that you are Peter. And I’ll build my church on this rock. The gates of the underworld won’t be able to stand against it.

Summary:

To journey as disciples of Jesus, we have to “get involved!” Our journey includes being in covenant with others, blessing those we don’t yet know and belonging to God and one another through worship. Get up, get into it and get involved!

Through worship, we grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. In worship, we celebrate that we all belong to God and as children of God, we belong to one another.   When we worship as Jesus’ disciples, we gain power to prevail against the “underworld.”
