2 Corinthians 5:1 (New Revised Standard Version)
For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Summary:
For the month of June, we will journey through different Psalms to discover assurance. we can only find in God. Though not a scripture passage from the Psalms, today’s text speaks to a blessed assurance that salvation is not just for this world, but also the world to come.
In 2 Corinthians 5:1, the Paul gives an assurance to the faithful that their work to build a home of God’s love, justice and peace on earth is not in vain because there is a promise of an eternal home with God. Keep praying, shouting, moaning and believing, for all are acts of faith, building a home for here and the hereafter.
